Prosperity is more than money?

It is wonderful to see a Christian who loves God, loves people and loves giving. The gift of giving is a powerful gift in the body of Christ. Of course it includes more than just money, but includes giving money.

1 Timothy 6:17-18 in the Message Bible says “Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage. 18 to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous.”

As I have worked to help the poor for the last 7 years, I have seen money go from the hands of generous people to change the lives of other people immediately. A seemingly small Microloan can help poor people rebuild their entire lives within 6 months. I have seen a single mother receive a microloan, start a business, pay back the loan and become a hero who is able to support, feed, clothe and send her children to school.
One business man shared with me how all his life he has found it so easy to make money. “It was like a gift from God,” he said. He went on to say, “to see a great organization like Home of Hope and be able to generously give to it makes me feel like I am finding my destiny!”Wow! The ability to make money, become prosperous and be able to be generous, is a wonderful, rewarding feeling.
We can be a team, working together, all of us using our God given gifts to see lives changed. Romans 10 says, “how can someone preach unless they are sent?” Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my many mission trips. Together we will share in heaven’s reward. Preaching the gospel to thousands of people in many nations takes lots of money.
Home of Hope is now caring for 7500 children. My prayer is to see at least 2500 more children fed every month. This will take miracles, especially financial ones. I am looking forward to working with prosperous, generous people of any age or any level of means – who are fulfilling their divine ministry from God of giving.
I am thankful for financially blessed people who pay for the food, while someone else cooks the food and someone else preaches the gospel to hungry children. We rejoice together – we will reap together in Heaven. I enjoy praying for generous Christians and their businesses because they have a heart to give and see more lives rescued and the Lord’s Kingdom advanced.
